Today, waking up in Rome with a clear target to achieve - the Pope's General Audience. Heading out to the Termini to take a bus but changed plan and took the Metro, which was ironically quite cheap. A Euro for a 75 minutes ticket.
Reaching St. Peter's Square of Vatican, we were greeted by a large crowd. We found our way to the place where the Pope held the general audience. It was sad that it did not held at the open area of the square. Quite an experience as the general audience was somewhat like a funfair.

But one need tickets to enter. Lucky for us we got our tickets which I obtained from Santa Susanna Church early in the morning before anyone was awake. The sister at the church was kind enough to give me three extra tickets to enter the hall. ^^

After some time in the hall where the general audience was held, we left before the proceeding ends and took some photos of exterior Vatican.

After some shots under the bright hot sun, we went across the street to the Castel Sant'Angelo and took some pictures, again. I did not enter the building but plan to do so on my second visit. ^^

Walking back towards the guest house, we encountered quite many nice buildings too before we reach another landmark of Rome - the Pantheon. We spent a little time inside before having our McD as lunch at the plaza just in front of the old building.

We got to rest our tired legs early today before our journey to the ancient ruins of Rome tomorrow. My legs were totally worn off with blisters all over my feet. Hopefully not much harm it will make on my future journey. ^^
