Day 154 (101): When In Rome

Woke up early and prepared ourselves for our journey to Rome. The early morning of Venice is totally different from what it is in the afternoon where it will be crowded with tourists from around the world.



We hopped on the water bus for the last time here, made our way to Marco Polo Airport. At the airport, we spent little time before we were allowed to board the plane.


Reaching Rome, we were approached by the transfer service guy which offered us a ride to our hostel. The fare is quite high as compared to the shuttle buses but we got on the Mercedes MPV anyhow. With the helpful driver communicated for us with the hostel guy, we got to check-in with ease.


After putting our luggage in the room, we went straight out to the shopping streets of Rome. On our way there, we stop at some location to take some photos, especially those beautiful churches in the capital city of Italy.






Shopping streets are heaven for almost everyone, with me being the exception. The streets were crowded with human with unlimited cash. The girls did enter some of the famous designer label outlets but did not bought anything, yet.




The long shopping street ends at Piazza del Popolo, a beautiful plaza with nice sculptures around it. Not much time being spent there taking photos and we made our way to Fontana di Trevi shortly after.


Fontana di Trevi, never heard of it until today. The girls were excited about this landmark because it was portrayed in the movie "When In Rome". A place where people throw coins and make wishes. =.= Damn, I did not make any wishes.



After visiting the fountain, we headed straight back to our guest house and prepare for a good night sleep before we head to the Pope's General Audience tomorrow.
