Day 111 (58): Castleton Revisited

Today, I followed YingChee, Sharon, Jenny, YeanLen, SzeLing and Keith to Castleton. A return for me after 10 days. I revisited this place because there is much more to be explored. Same old story, an hour bus.
We walked straight up to the cliff and had our meal after arriving at this hollow town. The girls then entered the Speedwell Cavern, while Keith and I waited for them outside. An hour wait was quite long, and boring. =.= After they came out of the chilling underground cave, we proceed to the Peak Cavern, also know as the Devil's Arse.
The road towards that ass of devil was pleasant, being greeted by some beautiful houses and also the natural greenery. The cave itself is not worth the tour as I felt I wasted GBP6.75 there. T.T The cave was deep, just most of the inner parts are not accessible for the general public. We then proceed to Peveril Castle.
We reached the entrance to the castle but some of the girls felt that the GBP3.60 entrance fees was too expensive. After much persuasion, they gave in, and it's a decision where no one will regret. It was an awesome place to visit, and to shoot ss images of themselves.
On the top of the hill, we enter the cliff the castle once stood and there was this greenish lawn welcoming us. Those girls took a whole great bundle of photos. I, in the other hand, took many pictures of the scenery.
What was left of the castle is wall ruins and also the castle keep. We enter the keep and took some photos. The keep is so small. No wonder English Kings seldom or never came to this part of their kingdom. So not safe. =.=
At 5PM, we were asked to leave. We the strolled down hill and reached the bus stop. Unfortunately, the bus had just left and we had to wait for about an hour for the next bus. Nice trip. Totally worth it. LOLx I'm so dogmama.
Tomorrow I will get much rest after 5 days of walking around Sheffield, Liverpool and Castleton. But I will get lonely tomorrow night as most of my classmates went to London for 2 days. Hopefully I can rest enough before my Scotland trip on Friday night. Dinner anyone?
