Best way to beat the queue? Arrive early before everyone else does. I made my way to the Metro at about 7AM and was already at Vatican at 7:45AM. The queue? There wasn't any. LOLx
First destination of the day - St Peter's Basilica. I was not aware of it being free until YingChee and the others told me two days ago. It was a worthy visit into the structure. It is just another church in the city of Rome but you bet it's the main attraction.

Passing the security was easy. Not so strict and also because I had nothing to hide. =.= I don't have bad guy face. LOLx The sun had just risen moments ago and the sunshine was so bright. A beautiful scene from the front of the basilica that faces the east.

The interior was large but just so so. It seems awesome but after visiting so many churches around the city, everything seems the same. Some of the drawings are of the same story, portrayed in every church.

The best part of the St Peter's Basilica is the Sacristy & Treasury Museum. Well, the not so best part is I need to pay to enter. But as student, I got a discount. ^^ 4 Euros to enter.
The museum holds everything shiny, and by that I meant real gold. The whole vault is consisted of gold. Too bad photos are not allowed inside. You guys need to come here to see it for yourselves.

Before I went in the museum, I did some shopping and hell yeah religion is the best marketing tool. I bought 7 rosaries, 3 amulets, 3 crosses and a book about Rome at 63 Euros and felt no pain.
I can get these at cheaper price at the roadside but the feel of donating to the church made me buy there in the museum shop. =.= Why donate when they are already rich? I don't know, it's the work of the Lord.
Coming out of the museum, I continued exploring the basilica and took more pictures. There was even a baptism ceremony held. One disappointment tho as today is Sunday. Many parts of the basilica is closed to accommodate the mass.

After St Peter's Basilica, my next planned destination was Castel Sant'Angelo. Things did not gone as planned. Sigh, it wasn't so bad. LOLx The castle was offering free entrance for the day. ^^ How lucky am I?

Entering the castle, there was a ramp, followed by a bridge and then steps before reaching the top. There was some exhibition of something that I did not care about. So, left it alone. The interior of the building was confusing. It's just like a maze, but I finally figured it out.

From the top of the castle, I was able to take the best photos of Rome. From Colosseum to Vatican, there is nowhere you can get a better picture.

Leaving Castel Sant'Angelo, I roam around the city and made my way to Spagna, again. There were many nice structures and also famous stores along the streets, among them the Ferrari Store. The memorabilia sold there was so fucking expensive and no photos allowed.

Final stop of the day was Fontana di Trevi. I can leave for home from Spagna but went to the fountain to make my wish again. This is the third time I wished for Her. One more time tomorrow, but will it come true?

I was already heading home at 12:30PM. That was quick. Never mind as I was already tired. Better head home to rest before my visit to the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel tomorrow. ^^
