Day 158 (105): Twinkle Twinkle Eiffel Tower

What I looking forward the least turned out to be the most beautiful structure in Paris. at night =.= Paris is really nothing without the Eiffel Tower.
I woke up and had a nice shower before we transferred our luggage to the hotel we originally booked. The girls did not shower and it proved to be a wrong decision. As we are only allowed to check-in at 3PM, we had to go for a walk to pass our time.
We got to know from the map provided that there will be daily free tours starting at Place St Michel and got our asses there by train. Reaching there, we signed up for the tour and followed our tour guide for the day, Lucy.
She brought us to many tourist attractions around Paris, such as Notre Dame de Paris, some lover's bridge, the Royal Palace and also the Lourve Museum. As we were rushing, we did not enter any of the structure but only able to take snaps of the exterior of those buildings.
As the girls were eager to take bath, we parted with Lucy at 3PM before we reach the end of our tour. We spent some time at the hotel before went out for dinner near our hotel. We had mussels which was deemed famous here. It's just clams but I like clams. LOLx
After dinner, we continue our walk to the city center and the first stop is Place Charles de Gaulle. The junction is busy with traffic but there was much to see too. There is this statue of the man who led France in WWII and also some nice buildings around it.
We continue our way to the famous landmark of Paris - the Eiffel Tower and spent much time there taking photos from every angle possible. We even witnessed the blinking tower three times. =.=
After taking much photos, we left the place and returned to the hotel. Unexpectedly had a great day in Paris. Hopefully I can say that for the days to come. ^^
