Today's the day I had been waiting for all week long. At 5PM, it's Merdeka. I wake myself up at 3PM and waited anxiously for the clock to strike five.

At five, TongSeng and I shouted the auspicious words. Excited and high, we released our exam stress for a few satisfying seconds. There's one thing that did not come the way I expected - a chain reaction of screaming. This was so totally different from what I experienced in KL.

After the shouting, I got myself some time in the hot shower and then... study. How boring life is. My brain seems to stall when I needed it the most. T.T Maybe it's the pressure to get the best possible result for my final semester.

Now, just returned home from Kebab with TongSeng and prepare to get one last round of memorising CIIB before some Stargate. It's hard to strike a balance between studies and entertainment. Well, entertainment, there are everywhere these days.

Never been this easy. LOLx I'm not talking about the studies, I am talking about pulling my own gray hair facing the mirror. It seems life pressure had really gave me more signs of aging. T.T I'm going to die old, and alone, soon.

It was a chilly day in Sheffield. God damn it, the wind blown so strong that it produced some weird noise waking me up from my sleep, not just once, twice, or thrice, but many fucking times.

I also did not slept well yesterday because I was worrying about the shipping of luggage. Got some information today, so I need not worry until the last few days. Thanks Jennifer and Thomas for the information.

Tough day today as I was unable to complete what I planned for the day. I'm lagging behind schedule by one chapter. Hopefully I can get a good night sleep for a fresh power brain.

For the meals today, I only had burgers, and burgers. And there are still two more for tomorrow. Thanks to Keith for saving me two days worth of food.

Now, I will get some Stargate (Season 5 ^^) after reading through chapter 1 to 7 of CIIB. God damn CIIB. =.=

Woke up by some phone call today. It was time to wake up after all as I had been asleep for 11 hours. Really good night sleep these days.

Today, I am quite relax as I am ahead of my revision plan. Although I planned to start CIIB tomorrow but as I start writing this crap, I am already finishing chapter 3. It seems too good to be true. Hopefully it's not an illusion.

Other than studies, many stuffs ran through my head too. Most obvious of all, my Stargate-ness. =.= I want to have Asgard technologies transferring my conscious from clones to clones. I don't have enough time to play, but yet need to study. Sigh.

Another thing that I thought of today is those activities I should be doing now if I am in Malaysia. Food, entertainments and pillow talks (My group's traditional exam antidote). Missed those moments of life. Now in UK, it's just a quiet room with notes.

That's all for my crapping. A Stargate a day won't harm. ^^ And one last thing, don't speculate about me having a new target. It's immature (LOLx Look who's talking).

When you worked too hard, you will be fucking tired. And when you are fucking tired, you will be a dead man when you are asleep. It's the second day that I fell asleep for a long period, no dreams and just wake up very fresh. Then reality fades in, it's time for revision again.

My head really does move slower during the daytime. I just don't understand why when the sun sets, all the information easily entered my head. Half a topic took me whole afternoon but can finish few topics in the night. Lucky for me the sun is not up there for 18 hours anymore.

As for now after I am writing, I am going take a short rest watching Stargate. A short rest before I start my revision on my next subject - CIIB, which is a very fuckingly ambiguous subject. Hopefully an extra day from ISO will help me master the subject.

I was forced to wake my lazy ass up today as I need to go to take some sort of "holiday letter" from SHU. I accompanied those girls to the library first before we went to the office. I was there at the library too late, or I would had bumped into my Marketing course friends.

After settling all those petty (quite important) stuffs, I went home and continue my revision. I don't know why I could not concentrate for quite a few hours, and I felt asleep quite a few times. Aiks, I'm destined not to achieve my target for today.

As I am typing, I am 5 pages of notes away from my target for the day. Hopefully I can finish at least 1 more page before resting my brain for a worst tomorrow. =.=

And my everyday diary posts will be this short until after my exam. Hopefully there are some surprising events pop out of nowhere to blog on or it might die, temporarily.

After 80 days, the moment all of us trying to avoid had just become unavoidable. It's time to concentrate on studies, the last paper of our life (for most of us, except some rich people who continue their "studies" =.=).

The day begins with me having a last good-night-sleep. Woke up to attend the final seminar here in UK. The class was just a normal one by Francis. No one took photo with him as he is just here for the day. LOLx

Back home, I started my revision and fell asleep quite a few times in between. Really tired looking at those words. It's just the beginning and I dare not imagine the end. After about 6 hours of memorising, I had achieved my target for the day - four topics of ISO, locked up in some part of my head.

Now need to have some sleep as tomorrow I need to go to the SHU student reception to get some who-knows-what. Good luck to those who are presenting tomorrow. ^^ Good night.

Although today didn't have lecture to attend, but had to wake up quite early too. A class at 11AM, the last one by Clare, the last one for CIIB. As usual, her class was just so so. I still like Jeremy's style better, more academic and straightforward.

We discussed past-year questions and well, it progressed quite nicely. At least for me, CIIB had become much more easier. LOLx After class, a speedy photo session as usual. The whole class was present today except one guy. =.=



Today, we also received our information pack, which includes the advanced diploma brought forward marks and some feedback forms. 74% brought up to degree, quite a good one especially with the English tutors here, who will mark the paper, being so stingy in giving marks. =.= A gigantic step towards first class degree. Hopefully the final 3 papers of my life don't fail me.

Copied every lecture notes, completed after 4 days of work. Now, it's time to lock myself up, studying. What a pity end to a nice 3-month tour around UK (no Wales and Northern Ireland thou T.T). It's time to aza aza fighting. ^^

Today, I woke up and went back to sleep again, missing the lecture at Adsett once more. Really do not have any mood to study right now. Study and travel package is a bad one, at least it was fun until it came to the studying part.

I did went for the seminar thou, which is the last seminar by Jameson - a tutor who just smile on everything. Last class was about exam procedure and how we should attempt the questions. As usual, there were awkwardly silent moments when there are questions.

After the class, we took photos with the tutor who wanted to be blind so eagerly (he always says "Blind me"). We did not get our assignment marks yet, and need to wait till next Friday.


Leaving Stoddart building, TongSeng and I went to the train station to get his tickets for London. I also printed all 3 of my tickets for my London-Lancaster-London-Manchester train. At night, I went to SzeLing's room to book hostel for our London trip, while had a short chat with YingChee after that.

Am I making the right decision to go back Malaysia on 4 Oct? Or I should go Spain for some extra trip? Really don't have mood to open the notes right now. My head is bursting with travel questions only.

Tomorrow's my last day before locking myself up. Hopefully, my hard work will pay off, somehow. =.= Really no confident at all.

Even though I did not have enough sleep, I still forced myself up from the bed at 1:30PM. Too late? Maybe, but better as compared to 6PM yesterday. I need to adjust my time so that my revision period is not compromised.

Yeah, exam is coming and I need to manage the revision schedule. With five days for each subject, this final dash to the finishing line will be a tough one. There's one last thing I had to settle before I can have peace of mind - booking all the train tickets (which would surge as the travel date come nearer). Spent GBP57.50 for three tickets, on my dad's card. Will proceed to book London accommodation tomorrow.

And, whenever exam approaches, girls tend to get very much stressed out. Psychologically different from what I experienced. And most of them would tell me they want to cry. Why tell me? Doesn't occur that you all should be telling your boyfriend? That was what they are for, right? Anyhow, study should be fun, relax and absorb what your mind can take. I wish to cry too, it's an easier way out.

My schedule says I have two more days to Stargate while copying notes. Might as well take the opportunity to finish season 4. ^^

I was planning to start doing notes today (I am joking, I just want copy some points.), but after a rush to complete my posts on Blackpool (until 8AM), I slept like a dead man until 6PM. =.=

Planning is always so perfect, execution is the problem. Even after a 10-hour sleep, I still don't have the energy to start my work. After a long long hot shower, I went to have dinner.

The whole day is about Facebook (MW) and also Stargate. Even Stargate gets boring. Really have nothing to do. (Thing in nothing means those interesting stuff only, studying excluded.) I got LiCheng's lecture notes already, hopefully I can start soon.

For now, let me slack first. It's a warm night. Not suitable for revision, right?

After a tired yesterday, I slept well over the night. Felt lazy to wake up for the hotel check out. =.= Anyhow, we gathered on time in the reception area to walk around the city.

We had our lunch at KFC before I accompanied them for shopping around some sportswear shops. After the shopping, we went up Blackpool Tower. We were transferred up the seemingly old structure by elevator.


At 380 feet, we had not much to see as the town has only few notable structures (with one which we are on). The wind up on the tower was strong, easily blowing anything light away.


The two attractions up there are the Walk of Faith (which is basically glass panel for us to walk on viewing the bottom) and the highest platform accessible by tourists. 412 feet, no big deal, especially with all the grill preventing people from jumping (falling was what I meant). LOLx





After the sky view of Blackpool, we continued our journey to the third floor housing the Ballroom, which was extremely grand. The is a organist doing his job and some visitors dance on the floor. We took some photos just before the lights were shut.


We then proceed to the hall where there is this circus going on. The circus was nice even though we missed the first half of the show. The rest of the show was quite so so but enough for the value paid.

We had dinner at an oriental restaurant before we parted with 14 person who had an earlier train to catch. We continued taking photos surrounding Blackpool and also the romantic view of the setting sun. I wish there was someone special there to share it with.



Some of us also took a cab to a casino nearby which was part of Genting group. I did not bet but just went in to grab some free food and drinks. We left Blackpool at 10:45PM. On our journey, we met this English guy who shared his sexual experience with us after Kai inquired him. =.= There was laughter all the way.


Now reaching home, viewed the Facebook updates of the past 2 days before getting a nice shower. It was a very happy trip, with it being the last trip before exam, it will surely be treasured more. Hopefully, the will be more time for travel after exam (even better if there is no exam ^^).

I slept for about 2 hours before my very-early alarm rang. Well, got to prepare myself for the trip to Blackpool. We, 23 of us, reached the train station at about 6AM to catch our train to our destination.


We changed train at Manchester Piccadilly and arrived at Blackpool safe and sound, not missing anyone at anywhere. We walked to the hotel we were staying but Travelodge only accept check-ins after 3PM, so we walked our way to Pleasure Beach. On the way there (which took us more than 30 minutes), we were able to enjoy the cool sea breeze and also the decorative lights along the quite street.



We arrived at the entrance and went to get our tickets, but what a crowd. As usual, efficiency of staff is what we expected (and experienced). Got our unlimited ride wristband and trashed our backpacks into the locker.


First destination, Infusion. This thrill ride was highly recommended (although not as famous as the Pepsi Max Big One. Looking at it was a thing, getting on it was totally different. As it was still early, the line is still short and we got to ride it in no time.


What's so special? Well, a ride with so many curve - non stop with many 360s. The best of all, we are hang on the seat only. No base for us to put our legs. We were hanged up to the highest point like those pigs in the butcher stall and the next moment, full speed ahead. The ride was so thrilling that I had no time to rest until we reach the end. 40 seconds of screaming and gripping tight to the handle bar. =.=



After Infusion, we made our way to the Big One - once the tallest roller coaster in the world. Ascending to the tallest point, we got to view the magnificent surroundings of Pleasure Beach.


The sea view was nice but at 200+ feet, we plunged and experienced about 3.5G of acceleration. The ride was a rough bumpy one. Although there are slow points, a 3 minutes ride was totally exhausting (I would blame this ride for my neck and other joint pains I'm experiencing now).


After riding the two best rides in the park, we tried something more pleasant - Steeplechase. A roller coaster (baby ones) where we were strapped to the back of a horse. Wow, it was just so boring. =.=


Following the ride, we went to have some food before it starts to drizzle. As the rain stopped, we went to The Maze. Quite a boring one as it was solved easily. It was a really good place to take pictures thou.


After the maze "adventure", we headed down to the Dodgems. The bumper car game was nice especially with so many easy targets. The experience was nice but the driving area was too small to do much damaging effect to other drivers.

Avalanche was our next stop. Similar to those bobsleds used in icy areas up North, we were left to slide down the curvy lane. As I was sitting alone, the loosening safety bar really scares me. Felt like there would be a chance that I will flung out of the vehicle. =.=


Skipping the Revolution (backward roller coaster) due to the slight drizzle and long queue, we end up at the Ghost Train. A long queue for a not so worthy ride. =.= Even worst when my friends queued up for Alice's Wonderland ride. What the fuck? How on Earth I could end up in a game designed for children of the 60's? Really bored to death.




The rain really killed my mood (and others' too), which caused me to forfeit three seemingly thrilling ride, which includes this Ice Blast (same as Genting's Space Shot). We then made our decision to check in our hotel sooner. After dinner, it's time for me to sleep.





Having experienced the rides in Pleasure Beach, I think I will never set foot on Genting's theme park anymore. Genting's rides are rubbish compared to the one here (and Pleasure Beach is still not the best one). It was a nice nice outing with nice nice friends.

Set my alarm for class today but as of other typical Wednesday, who cares. =.= Reset it for a later time after it rang for a few times and close back my eyes.

We went to class and got to found out that it will be the last one conducted by Alex before taken over in the final week by Francis. The class is as usual, some discussion. We were also given the assignment marks today, a not-so-impressive 19/30 but still 0.2 more that CIIB. Well, 11% gone from ISO. =.= After class, we took pictures with Alex. Really a big fat thanks to her for the guidance throughout the past 2 months.


Returned home, I continued my Stargate, beginning my season 4. And, I noticed that the download speed is boosted by many many times. The top speed I hit was 1800kbps. ^^ It was just 400kbps, max, for the last 73 days. I had downloaded the whole season 4 of Stargate in just about 6 hours. Pretty impressive but not delightful. Why the hell in Earth that they boost up the speed when examination is approaching?

Due to the excellent speed, my day was just about Stargate. Nothing much, except some preparation for my trip to Blackpool tomorrow. Hopefully a pleasant last trip before exam. ^^

A barbecue session was planned for today, but it did not materialised as our request was denied by the Forge's people. Instead, we cooked our food and brought out to the tables beside the foyer to have a get together session.

Waking up in the morning, I went to class, and finally saw her actually in class. LOLx Without her laughter, it's quite hard to detect her presence. Never mind that. In the seminar, I presented something that I don't even understand (my answer) yet Claire seems to be satisfied. =.=

She can easily satisfied but why can't give me more marks on my report. For CIIB, a total of 11.2% had gone from my final score. Need to put more effort so that the artificial glory will not pass me by.

After a 2-hour boring time, we went to the market to buy the ingredients for our "BBQ". What a heavy load of stuffs we brought back. =.= In Malaysia, we used cars to transfer those goods. It was so easy then.

Then the time had came where we went down to the foyer to have our get together, celebrating the birthday of Vegine, Stella and our senior resident - Keith. The food was nice, but I took more of the grapes. My stomach was full of drinks and fruits only. =.=

After the eating session, there was this birthday cake and many many kissing. Birthday songs were sung while they also sang Negaraku. =.= LOLx Had a great time today.

Now, back to my room while they had second round. I wanted to get some rest and prepare myself for tomorrow's class. Really need this rest as the Blackpool trip on Thursday will surely exhaust me.

And sorry I had no picture to share here as I was busy stuffing food into my damn mouth. Someone will tag me in Facebook (hopefully), just look up for my handsome face there.

As you are reading here, Malaysia had kick-started the month-long Merdeka celebration back there in the tiny land divided by a sea where the name mentioned China but not Malaysia.

Don't they get bored or so for having done the same thing over and over again? Over the years, the event had turned out to be meaningless to me and maybe some normal freaks out there.

Wasting money to show our love to this nation. A real bit of waste, don't you think? Fireworks, processions, parties, et al. 31st August is even more meaningless to those from East Malaysia, or a free day with family without work maybe.

We need not love Malaysia by splashing money. =.= Forcing the flying of flags on shops in this National Day doesn't meant patriotism, it's just show businessperson compliance to renew license. What a dumb ruling!

Malaysian love Malaysia. We are proud of the nation. I love Malaysia, and I am proud to claim myself as Malaysian in this foreign land I step on now.

It had been quite a while since I write serious opinion stuff, and I seriously need to polish up my skills or I will be lagged even more to the all mighty Nigel.

When I wrote "The Final Week", I did not meant my final week in UK, just the last fun week for me before the examination preparation. Oh my, a boring dash starts.

I came here not to study but to have fun, but once fun is over, I need to turn my direction back to my ultimate objective - get a 1st class degree and bring my ass home in one piece.

As we enter the final week of joy and happiness, there are some quite interesting activities on the line. First, there will be this BBQ (the second here in UK) and then a trip to Blackpool. Hopefully more. Once my leg set foot back in Sheffield from the beach, it's war.

I believe I will prevail. Almost 20 years of academia and 3 papers dictate it. Too harsh, but that's life. I will return with my heads held high, hopefully (no confidence at all, LOLx).

My day today? Woke up, Mafia Wars, Facebook, ate out and Stargate. Not having anyone to miss (except families and kitties) is killing me. =.= Oh, and happy birthday to one of my best friends in college - werewolf Hang. ^^

My alarm rang quite a few times but the cozy bed pulled me from getting up. So did the others, and this can all be attributed to the rain since early morning around Newcastle. Finally got up as the clock approaches 9AM and went for a shower, followed by a nice free breakfast downstairs (we paid for it, but not the extra GBP50 =.=).

We went back to bed as it was still raining and at 11AM, we walked out under the drizzle heading to the city center. The first place we visited was the Hancock Museum.


It was an awesome place to be. How often you can see a real elephant and other huge wildlife being displayed in a museum? I'm not kidding, just those animals were specimens. At first, I thought I would spent little time there as the first few exhibition room displayed more on animals and the Hadrian's Walls.



Later, I discovered the exhibition on ancient civilisations of the Greek and Egyptian and I messaged the others informing them to leave without me. They went to other the attractions around the city while I stayed back to read everything being offered in the museum. The Greek part was better as compared to the World Museum Liverpool but as for overall, Hancock Museum is much smaller. Other displays include lifeforms since the ice age to the present world.



I braved the wind and rain, walking my way to St. James Park, home to Newcastle United F.C. There was not much to see there, and I just took some pictures of the stadium's exterior. Adjacent to the famous landmark, there is this Chinatown but was abnormally quiet due to the rain.



After those crappy pictures taken, I walked down the road to the Discovery Museum, a place I think worthy of visit (just I did not have the luxury of time). It's free and most stuffs exhibited are suitable for kids.


Greeting me in the main entrance was this big ship model - Turbinia, which was the first steam powered turbine ship. Climbing up the stairs, I entered the different gallery with different stuffs being displayed. From the bridges of River Tyne, to the history of Newcastle and interactive section of Science Maze.








As we were rushing to get on the bus, we spent relatively little time there. I wished for more but god didn't approve it. T.T Here I got two more pennies crushed. One have the image of Turbinia while the other portrayed the Angel of the North. Too bad I was not able to add more pennies to my collection as the two machines in Hancock Museum was out of order.

We got up the bus and traveled back to Sheffield, stopping at those stops as yesterday's. Reaching Sheffield, we went for takeaways at Chino's. Now, after having a nice shower and dinner, stay here to present you with my life for the past two days at the city around River Tyne.

Although I did not get to visit the Castle Keep and St. Nicholas Cathedral, I had a great time with Denise and co. Hopefully next week trip to Blackpool will be a better one. ^^ For now, I would like rest first as I need to complete the seminar discussion question allocated to me by tomorrow night.
