Due the boring and a not-so-happening Sunday, I got the chance to finish some of the movies I had downloaded. The movies I had finish watching includes the three part movie of The Librarian.

The first movie, titled "The Librarian: Quest For The Spear" was premiered straight to TV in 2004. The film stars some not-so-famous actors. The first movie introduced the main character, Flynn who was a student having 22 degrees in various field, but was asked to get a life by his professor. He was signed-off his semester and had to get a job.

A job opportunity came by and he received an audition letter for a librarian post. But, this librarian post is not for an ordinary librarian, but a Librarian (with a capital L). He got the job and was introduced to the head of the Library, Judson. The Library is an institute storing mythical artifacts underground without the knowledge of mankind.

His job was just a guardian at first but was thrown into action when the Spear of Destiny was stolen. He endured some (mis)adventures and as the story goes by, it seems more and more fake. =.= He retrieved the spear eventually (that's a sure thing =.=) and got the lady.

It was a nice story with an excellent plot but with many low quality action scenes. Nevertheless, it succeeded in luring me to watch the second installment, "The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines" (2006).

The story starts with a party and he reunites with his Uncle Jerry, who in the end was the villain. The story took us to the continent of Africa and Flynn met with this pretty lady who has 26 degrees in various field and always argue with him. The girl is so charming and totally my type. ^^

They got into the mines and found the treasure with a sacred book that can manipulates space and time. In the end, Flynn prevented evil from winning when he destroy the book. The couple did not end up together thou.

Fast forward to the third movie, "The Librarian: Curse of the Judas Chalice" (2008), we got to see Flynn's adventure while having a vacation. He had gone nuts in the library complaining that the Library had ruined his relationships.

The female lead in this part is a 403 years old vampire, which was a Latino. They had a relationship on their journey to find the Judas Chalice, which is believed to have the ability to resurrect Count Dracula and an army of undead. Their journey led them to the chalice but Dracula got its hands on it. Flynn eventually trick him and stabbed him with an Aspen tree branch.

The couple in this movie also did not got together as the vampire said she had lived long enough and wanted to see the rising sun one last time with Flynn. That was the end of the third part.
Quite a nice movie and I hoped to see more of it as the producer had indicated there is a new installment being shot with the fourth movie would have a theatrical release. ^^ Looking forward to it while I strongly recommend you guys for this series of movies.
