Day 68 (15): Cooked Alone, Ate Alone

Like other not-so-special days in UK, I was stranded in this mini room of mine. Some exclusion for the day thou. I woke up by the ringing alarm as I had promised this girl to go shopping with her friends.

We met at the lobby at 11AM and set our foot out of the warm lobby interior. Lucky for us that the store is just opposite our hostel. Got some vegetables from there and a bottle of soy sauce from a Chinese grocery stall nearby. The outing was just so so, some grilling by the girls ensued (that was expected).

After all the shopping, I ended my day out of the building. I wanted to cook lunch but no one seems willing to taste my cooking. Asked her whether is it okay for me to cook her lunch but she had other plans. I was hungry, what can I do? Cooked alone and ate alone, how sad. T.T

Today's meal for one is quite a big portion. With this portion, this can normally serve up to 3 person in my family. The dishes I cooked were spicy soy sauce pork with potato and bean curd, and fried mixed vegetables (carrot, lettuce and french beans) with oyster sauce. It was tastier than I expected. I'm getting better at this.

But without the rice, I finished it all. I spent about an hour preparing the dish and consumed it all in 30 minutes. I was expecting the meal to be enough for the whole day.

The rest of the day was about Facebook-ing and reading the annual report of Eletrolux for assignment. And this post here is written quite early in the day as I will be on my way to Stonehenge for tour on summer solstice. Did some research what would I be expecting there. ^^

That was my day, or three quarter of my day maybe. I will write more about tomorrow as the trip also brings me to London. For now, see you!
