Woke up by my alarm at 1:30PM as I am preparing to go to the bank. Was disturbed by some phone calls while I am sleeping but doesn't picked it up. Really need to change the Pound Sterling already.
It had reached about RM4.70 per Pound Sterling yesterday and although I wanted to wait for it to plunge lower, I fear that new policies or better business expectations over the weekend will make the currency come out strong on Monday (unlikely).
So, I went to Public Bank and apply for a banker's cheque worth GBP3183.00 for my university fees at a rate of 4.72. I was tempted to change another GBP3000 but in the end give the money a gamble, hoping it will drop again next week. A RM0.10 drop is a RM300 difference. =.= God willing, I will save more by my decision today.
My dad and I also went to CIMB Bank to apply my supplementary credit card. Submitted the form and now need to wait for my card, which the officer say would take two weeks to deliver.
Then there was Thomas Cup involving Malaysia against the mighty Chinese on TV at 7PM. A bashing in first singles as expected. Datuk Lee was really floored by Lin Dan. The first doubles game was interesting but my hope for Malaysia to gain a consolation point is ruined as Koo and Tan was defeated by the fast pace Chinese. Choon Han give Malaysia something to cheer early in his game but seems giving up in the second set. In the end, it's a 0-3 lost.
I am quite disappointed by some so called Malaysian supporters, who left the stadium when our players are still battling (amid losing). These people really come to support the winning Malaysian only. Disgrace. Winning or losing, we should stay with them in those crucial times. I was really hoping Malaysia would turn the tables and make these leavers regret their action, but it is impossible today.
Just as I wanted to bathe, it rains. My poor house is leaking like hell. Remember those childhood impression of how a poor person's house would look like when it rains? That's my condition now. Getting pots and buckets to collect dripping rain water. T.T
