Shutter Island had finally premiered in Malaysian cinemas, two months after US released date. The hype is not so anticipated as I had already watched the DVD version on PPS last month. But for those who had not watched or who wanted to experience the visual and sound effects in the cinema, this is one show I would strongly recommend.

The movie is a psychological thriller revolving around Leonardo DiCaprio's character, Teddy Daniels. The mystery effect always amaze me and this movie bring that long lost effect. ^^ You would not know how the story would run, and how it would end.

As the story move on, the audience would be attracted to think and participate in the plot. We are left wondered what is happening and why something had happened. The beginning seems like a normal detective movie but it is sure not one. Teddy's investigation on an island holding mental patients in the end turned out to be his delusion, something totally different from what I first suspected.

I would not write much here as the movie is still new and I don't want to spoil the surprises. I can just say the ending is something unexpected. Like most psycho-thriller, the director, Martin Scorsese, did not give a definite ending and this is what make the movie worth watching.

In the end, the lead character asked a question that I think round up a good story, "Which one would be worse? To live as a monster or to die as a good man?" The ending will provide people something to talk about after coming out of the theaters.

I would recommend everyone to visit your nearest cinema for this movie as I rank it one of the best in its genre, comparable to Johnny Depp's Secret Window.
