Homo Sapiens Downgraded

Human has been always deemed the most intelligent species in the animal kingdom. That is, if we don't distinct ourselves from animals. Since ancient history, we became more and more advanced in living style. But it seems to going down the slope now.

Size is our disadvantage in the ancient times as compared to the mammoths and saber-tooth tigers, but "god-given intelligence" had us developed "technologies" for survival. And the trend of development grown so fast that the nature can't keep pace with us.

But I am not going to talk about the environment as I never felt that natural disaster was caused by human. I want to talk about human becoming weaker and lack of survival skills.

Our ancestors hunt down mammoths for food, keep themselves warm using the fur and hide of the poor victim. I don't think anyone will try to face off against a mammoth in this modern times, not even a cockroach I presume (base on what I had seen over the years). Human being afraid of cockroaches and rats shows that we are heading towards damnation if technologies fail us.

Once, animals were "slaves" and servants to humankind, plowing our farms and transporting us to our intended destination. Now, young ones are slaves and servants to their pets. I can see some pets were given better food than was taken by me. Owners worked so hard to feed them. They are once used to help in hunting and now they just lie on the couch waiting for the meals every day.

It seems that human are moving down the animal kingdom hierarchy, but with technologies, we still seems stronger and lead the planet Earth. If one day the cyborgs go against the law of robotics (which is easy to go against) and go amok, we will not just be below those metal beings in the hierarchy, but way down the pecking order, even below cockroaches. So, buck up fellow homo sapiens.
